The sustainability case, made well
Ettitude is the only brand in our top four that publishes a full life-cycle analysis for its product line, and the only one that uses a true closed-loop lyocell process to spin its bamboo fiber. That process is meaningfully better for the environment than the more common viscose method: lyocell production captures and reuses about 98% of the non-toxic solvents involved, while viscose tends to release more of them as wastewater. If "this purchase has to be the right thing to do" is part of your buying calculus, Ettitude is your set.
That said: lyocell isn't free. Ettitude's $229 queen-sheet price is roughly $30 more than YALA's, and the fabric — while excellent — isn't quite as soft on first wear. We rated it slightly behind the Cozy Earth sateen for raw tactile feel and slightly behind the YALA twill for long-term durability. It's a strong all-rounder, not a category leader on any single dimension except sustainability.
Two weaves, two experiences
Ettitude offers their Signature line in two weaves and we tested both. The sateen drapes close to skin like a high-thread-count Egyptian cotton sateen — silky, fluid, slightly warmer than the twill. The twill, on the other hand, lands closer to a crisp percale: more structure, more cooling, and the crinkle-prone wrinkle pattern that some people love and others can't stand. Pick by feel preference. They're priced identically.
What we loved
- Best-in-class sustainability story with verifiable FSC and Oeko-Tex certifications
- Closed-loop lyocell process recycles ~98% of solvents
- Two distinct weaves let you match the fabric feel to your taste
- Clean, minimal aesthetic with a curated color palette
- 30-night sleep trial with no return-shipping fees
Worth knowing
- Sateen showed minor pilling after 18 wash cycles in our test
- Pocket depth (15") is shallower than Cariloha's 17" — read carefully if your mattress is thick
- Out-of-stock periods are common, especially on the twill king
- Slightly stiffer hand on first night; takes a wash or two to fully soften
The fabric, up close
Ettitude's Signature uses a 100% bamboo lyocell yarn — sometimes labeled "CleanBamboo" in their marketing. The fiber is more uniform than typical viscose, which is part of why the fabric drapes so cleanly even before its first wash. After 25 cycles, our sateen test set showed faint pilling on the top sheet but held up well otherwise; the twill came through nearly identical to its first-night state.
One small annoyance: the fitted sheet's elastic is lighter-gauge than YALA or Cariloha. It still grips a thick mattress, but it's the part of the set we'd expect to fail first. If you're a particularly active sleeper who tends to popping fitted sheets off corners, that's worth knowing.

Who should buy these?
Ettitude is the right answer if your priorities run sustainability-first or if you specifically want a sateen but can't justify the Cozy Earth premium. It's also the only brand in our top four that lets you choose between sateen and twill at the same price, which is genuinely useful — most people don't know which they prefer until they try both.
Final verdict
The most credible green story in bamboo bedding, paired with two well-made fabrics and a fair price. Doesn't lead our rankings on softness, durability, or value — but it's the only set that wins on doing the right thing.
